About Headlands Beach State Park
Thirty-five acres of natural shoreline make up the beach here, described as the longest of its kind in Ohio. The breakwall at the park's eastern end carries the Fairport Harbor West Breakwater Light and draws people who come to fish. Visitors also gather beach glass along the sand, and the grounds include picnicking areas and a seasonal concessionaire. The park draws about two million visitors a year.
