About McGee Creek State Park

A 2,600 acre park sits on the south side of McGee Creek Reservoir, a 3,800 acre impoundment built in 1985 to control flooding along McGee Creek. Fishing is the main draw, with crappie, sunfish, largemouth bass, and channel catfish all present in the reservoir. The McGee Creek Wildlife Management Area lies between the reservoir's two arms.
