About Mission Tejas State Park
A commemorative version of one of the earliest Spanish missions in Texas stands here, alongside one of the oldest surviving structures in the area. The 660-acre grounds hold a stretch of the El Camino Real de los Tejas, the historic road that once linked Spanish settlements. The land was first developed in 1935 and later handed over to the State Parks Board in 1957.
