About Utahraptor State Park
Named for the fossil predator discovered in the surrounding rock layers, this park protects land tied directly to the species' 1991 identification. It is one of the newest additions to the Utah state park system, created in 2021 to preserve terrain of paleontological significance in the region's desert landscape.
