About Alburg Dunes State Park
A south-facing natural sand beach stretches along the Lake Champlain shoreline here, counted among the lake's largest. Sand dunes rise near the center and western end of that beach, giving the park its name. The protected ground centers on this shoreline and dune formation rather than inland terrain.
