About Battle Ground Lake State Park
A volcanic crater holds the lake at the center of this 280-acre property, ringed by evergreen forest that grows across the old crater's slopes. The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission manages the site, which sits about three miles from the city of Battle Ground. Land and water together give the park its shape: a circular basin of forest wrapped around the water formed by the crater itself.
