About Rooster Rock State Park
A tall basalt column shaped like a natural obelisk rises near the south side of the Columbia River Gorge here, sheltered in the lee of Crown Point. This formation, known as Rooster Rock, gives the park its name and stands as one of its central features. The land sits east of Corbett and is managed by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department.
