About Griffiths-Priday Ocean State Park
Land at the mouth of the Copalis River was set aside to protect this stretch of Pacific shoreline and the freshwater frontage where the river meets Connor Creek. The 364-acre park holds beach and low dunes along more than 8,300 feet of ocean shore and nearly 10,000 feet of river shoreline. Copalis Spit, a small peninsula within the park, serves as refuge for migratory birds. Visitors come for clam digging, beachcombing, fishing, mountain biking, and watching migratory gray whales.
