About Schafer State Park
The Satsop River runs through this 122-acre park, set in the Satsop Hills between Olympia and Aberdeen. The land offers two miles of hiking trails along with fishing, swimming, birdwatching, wildlife viewing, and horseshoes. A number of its structures date back far enough that the park earned a spot on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.
