About Manchester State Park

Coastal defenses once stood on this 111-acre stretch of the Kitsap Peninsula, built to guard Bremerton before the site was repurposed as a fuel depot and a Navy fire-fighting station. Remnants of that era remain, including a former torpedo warehouse, a mining casement, and a gun battery. The park now holds 3,400 feet of shoreline on Puget Sound and 1.9 miles of trails, with room for picnicking, camping, boating, fishing, and birdwatching.
