About Curt Gowdy State Park
Named for a longtime sportscaster, this 3,395-acre recreation area sits on Wyoming Highway 210 roughly midway between Cheyenne and Laramie. It protects a stretch of land built around fishing reservoirs and an extensive trail system used for hiking and biking. Hynds Lodge, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, stands within the park. The Wyoming Division of State Parks and Historic Sites manages the grounds.
