About Tubac Presidio State Historic Park
Underground, the excavated foundations of the original Presidio San Ignacio de Tubac remain on display, forming the core of an archeology exhibit that anchors the grounds. Buildings on site trace successive layers of European settlement in the town, presented alongside a museum, additional historic structures, and a picnic area. Anza Days, held each October, is among the cultural events staged here through the year.
