About Asilomar State Beach

Rocky coastline and dune habitat make up this stretch of the Monterey Peninsula, protected as public shoreline within a 107-acre property. The land also holds the Asilomar Conference Grounds, a conference center the YWCA built in 1913 and which now carries National Historic Landmark status, with overnight lodging still offered on site. Visitors have access to views of forest, surf and sand across the grounds.
