The Santa Ynez Mountains rise from the Pacific coastline within this 2,787-acre park, one of three protecting the Gaviota Coast. The land stretches from the shoreline up to the mountain crest, bordering Los Padres National Forest along its edge. This span of coast-to-ridge terrain gives visitors a stretch of undeveloped land connecting sea level to mountain elevation in one protected area.
