About Limekiln State Park

Four stone lime kilns from an 1887 to 1890 lime-calcining operation still stand here, remnants of the industry that once processed limestone into building material. The 711-acre park also holds a redwood forest, a beach, and Limekiln Falls, which drops 100 feet. It sits along the Big Sur coast, two miles south of Lucia on the coast highway.
