About Morro Strand State Beach

Three miles of sand connect the beach's two entrances, fronting Estero Bay along the state route north of town. The stretch includes the Morro Strand Trail and picnic sites, with beach walking, jogging, surfing, and fishing among the activities people come for. Dogs are kept off part of the beach because it supports nesting Western Snowy Plovers.
