About Minnie Island State Park
Connecticut's smallest state park occupies a speck of land, just 0.88 acres, at the southern end of Gardner Lake, a 529-acre body of water crossed by the townline between Salem and Montville. Reaching it requires a boat, since there is no land access, and once there visitors find an undeveloped, largely empty island suited to picnicking, fishing, and quiet exploration.
