About Camp Helen State Park

Lake Powell borders the property on one side, with the Gulf of Mexico on the other, placing the site between one of Florida's largest coastal dune lakes and open saltwater. The grounds carry historic status, having been listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012. Its position south of U.S. 98 in northwestern Florida puts both freshwater and gulf shoreline within the same protected tract.
