About Forest Capital Museum State Park
A museum building anchors 13 acres of land, with exhibits tracing the history of the forest industry and the wildlife found in Florida's woodlands. Next to it stands a Cracker Homestead dating to 1864, showing a house, barn, well, arbor, and garden that depict life on an old Florida homestead. Each October the grounds host the Florida Forest Festival, a tradition running more than 50 years.
