About Wes Skiles Peacock Springs State Park
Named for diver and explorer Wes Skiles, this 733-acre site was known as Peacock Springs State Park before 2010. It centers on six sinkholes and the Peacock and Bonnet Springs, tributaries of the Suwannee River, with miles of underwater caves that draw cave divers. A nature trail and picnic areas support wildlife viewing, with deer, bobcats, otters, and barred owls among the species recorded here.
