Bass fishing on Lake Strom Thurmond draws anglers to this 1,972-acre park, which sits on the lake's southern shore on land leased from the United States Army Corps of Engineers. Beaches and 8 miles of nature trails are also part of the property. The name comes from Mistletoe Corners, a nearby spot where locals traditionally gathered to pick mistletoe during the winter holidays.
