About Whitewater Memorial State Park
A stretch of land spanning seventeen miles between Brookville and Liberty forms the core of this park, one of the largest in the state at 23,000 acres. It was created as the sixteenth state park in Indiana and dedicated as a memorial to American soldiers who died in World Wars I and II. Indiana State Road 101 runs alongside its length, and the park draws roughly 240,000 visitors each year.
