About Summit Lake State Park

An 800-acre lake covers a large share of the park's 2,680 acres, making water the dominant feature here. Summit Lake became Indiana's state park system in 1988, when it was designated the 19th state park in the state. The surrounding land in east-central Indiana rounds out the acreage beyond the lake itself.
