About Tickfaw State Park

Opened to the public in May 1999, this park sits along land shaped by the swamps and waterways typical of the Tickfaw River region. Visitors will find a nature center, picnic shelters, a sizable fishing pond, 14 cabins, and 50 campsites spread across the grounds. Its location between New Orleans and Baton Rouge has made it a frequent stop for people from both cities.
