About Sterling State Park

Man-made lagoons near the mouth of Sandy Creek make up most of this 1,300-acre property, the only Michigan state park sitting on Lake Erie's shore. Water access is central here, with a beach, a boat launch, and lagoons set aside for shore fishing. A 256-site campground anchors the grounds, and more than seven miles of trails wind through the property for hiking and biking.
