About Maumee Bay State Park
Lake Erie's shoreline anchors this 1,336-acre recreation area, which combines a lodge and conference center, cottages, and camping facilities with a golf course and nature center. A two-mile interpretive boardwalk lets visitors move through the property on foot, while hiking, fishing, boating, swimming, hunting, winter sports, and geocaching are all available across the grounds. The state acquired the land in 1974, a year before the park's official opening.
