About Catawba Island State Park

Lake Erie shoreline covers the entire ten acres here, small enough to walk end to end in minutes. Boating and fishing draw most visitors, with picnic spots set along the water for those staying on land. The park dates to the early 1950s, when it was formed as one of the units in the state's group of Lake Erie parks.
