About Thousand Hills State Park
Over 3,000 acres of public land surround Forest Lake, a 573-acre reservoir offering fishing, swimming and boating. The park also preserves Native American petroglyphs, adding a historical layer to the recreational grounds. Together the lake and rock carvings give visitors both water-based activity and a direct link to earlier inhabitants of the area.
