About Kittatinny Valley State Park

Glacial lakes and limestone outcroppings shaped this stretch of land now crossed by former railroad beds and bordered by a small airport, spanning Andover Township and reaching into Andover. Lake Aeroflex and Gardner's Pond sit at the headwaters of the Pequest River, both used for fishing and boating. Whitetail deer, wild turkeys, beavers, muskrats, squirrels, and songbirds inhabit the grounds, which the New Jersey Division of Parks and Forestry maintains.
