South Mountain forms the core of this 691-acre park, rising to two named summits, High Tor and Little Tor. High Tor is the higher of the pair at 797 feet, making it the park's highest point. The land sits on the northern edge of the Town of Clarkstown, giving the park its defined boundary within the county.
