About Knox's Headquarters State Historic Site

1754 marks the construction of the Georgian house at the center of this site, built for the Ellison family by William Bull, an immigrant from Hamptonburgh. The stone dwelling and its surrounding grounds sit on Old Forge Hill Road, just south of Route 94. Visitors can see the preserved home built by Bull as it stood on Ellison family land in New Windsor.
