About Midway State Park

A trolley line built this ground for picnickers back in 1898, when the Jamestown & Lake Erie Railway laid out the grounds as a stop along its route. Rides and attractions have run here ever since, making it the fifteenth-oldest amusement park still operating anywhere in the country. Among the thirteen trolley parks that survive nationwide, this one ranks fifth for continuous operation.
