About Goose Creek State Park
1,672 acres of Coastal Plain land sit just off Pamlico Sound, where the park's salt water marshes, inlets and creeks along the northern side of the sound form habitat for a range of wildlife. The mix of marsh, water and shoreline defines the terrain here, with the park positioned south of U.S. Route 264 on Camp Leach Road. Recreation runs year-round across this stretch of tidal landscape.
