About Buckeye Lake State Park

3,349 acres of shoreline, islands, and open water spread across three counties make up this reservoir-based recreation area. Named sections such as Brooks Park, Fairfield Beach, Liebs Island, Mud Island and North Shore give access to the water for boating, fishing, and swimming, along with picnic spots and winter activities. Cormorants, herons, bald eagles, and osprey have been spotted here, alongside various waterfowl, making the shoreline a spot for watching birds as well as using the lake itself.
