About Maurice K. Goddard State Park

A dam built in 1971 created Lake Wilhelm, a 1,860-acre reservoir that now shares its shoreline with State Game Land No. 270. The 2,856-acre park spreads across Deer Creek, Mill Creek, New Vernon and Sandy Lake Townships, and its waterways support many species of fish and amphibians. Recreational facilities are set around the lake, and the park hosts special events and programs through the summer months.
