About Yellow Creek State Park

A 720-acre man-made lake formed by an earth and rock dam on Yellow Creek anchors the grounds, built in 1969 within a park that spans nearly 2,981 acres across Brush Valley and Cherryhill Townships. The property also holds sections of Little Yellow Creek and traces of the old Kittanning Path running through the land. An additional 159 acres of developed land were added to the park in 1982.
