About Canoe Creek State Park

Canoe Lake, spanning 155 acres, anchors recreation at this 961-acre park and remains open to fishing throughout the year. The surrounding land sits in Frankstown Township, a half mile from U.S. Route 22 near the small community of Canoe Creek. The park was built as part of a 1970s push to grow Pennsylvania's state park system, opening to visitors in 1979.
