About Pickwick Landing State Park

Pickwick Lake, an impoundment of the Tennessee River, borders the park's grounds. The park takes its name from a 19th-century riverboat stop once known as Pickwick Landing. Its setting places visitors along the reservoir formed behind Pickwick Dam, giving the park its water frontage on the Tennessee River.
