About Dinosaur Valley State Park
Footprints left by theropods and sauropods 113 million years ago remain preserved across five main tracks along the Paluxy River. The 1,524.72-acre park protects these tracks, giving visitors a direct look at the impressions the animals left in the riverbed rock. The river itself runs through the property, shaping the terrain around the fossil sites.
