A 1,322-acre reservoir sits at the center of this park, paired with an off highway vehicle area covering Sand Mountain. The water and the sand terrain give visitors two distinct kinds of ground to use, one for boating or swimming and one for riding. Together they make up the park's core recreation land, set aside since 2003.
