About Elmore State Park
Civilian Conservation Corps crews built several of the park's facilities during the 1930s, work recognized in 2002 with a listing on the National Register of Historic Places. The park surrounds Lake Elmore and the slopes of Elmore Mountain, with grounds set up for picnicking, hiking, and activities on the water. A 59-site campground gives visitors a place to stay overnight within the park's boundaries.
