About Governor Thompson State Park
Created in 2000, the park spans roughly 2,800 acres bordering the Peshtigo River State Forest. It holds 6.5 miles of shoreline along the Caldron Falls Reservoir, a stretch of the Peshtigo River, plus more than a mile of combined shoreline on two kettle lakes, Woods Lake and Huber Lake. This mix of reservoir and kettle-lake waters gives the property multiple distinct shoreline settings within one property.
