About Copper Culture State Park

Archaeological sites within a 42-acre tract mark one of the oldest known burial grounds of the Old Copper Culture, a prehistoric people who worked native copper into tools and ornaments. The grounds mix natural areas and farmland with these excavated sites, and a Native American museum on site presents finds connected to the burials.
