About Austin Creek State Recreation Area

Ravines, grassy hillsides, oak-capped knolls, and rocky summits define this rugged landscape, with some high points offering views out to the Pacific Ocean. Twenty miles of trails cross the wilderness area, which connects to Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve through a shared entrance. Camping is available within the recreation area, and the remains of the Pond Farm artists' colony still stand on the grounds.
