About Stagecoach State Park

A 771-acre reservoir formed by Stagecoach Dam fills much of the 1,641-acre park, holding water from the Yampa River. Around its shores sit a marina, boat ramps, campsites, picnic sites and 8 miles of trails, while the surrounding uplands hold montane shrub communities with riparian wetlands along the river and reservoir edges. The park dates to 1989, decades after the state park system began in this area.
