About Haley Farm State Park
Colonial-era farmland once granted to Governor John Winthrop makes up the 267 acres protected here, land that later operated as a dairy farm before being set aside as open space in Groton. A pedestrian bridge crossing railroad tracks links the property to neighboring Bluff Point State Park, allowing walkers and cyclists to move between the two. Activities within the park are limited to bicycling and walking, and the grounds are managed by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
