About Big Lagoon State Park

Grande Lagoon and its smaller tributaries stretch across the park's 706.76 acres, forming the northern edge of the wider Big Lagoon as it winds east toward Pensacola Bay. The grounds also hold Long Pond, a man-made freshwater pond home to alligators. Together the lagoon waters and pond give the park a mix of brackish and freshwater habitat within a single coastal tract.
