About Manatee Springs State Park
A first magnitude spring feeds a short run that empties into the Suwannee River, bordered by swamps and hardwood wetlands. Sinkhole ponds dot the grounds, and one holds a cave 90 feet underground that connects to a spot divers know as the Catfish Hotel. The water flow and the connected cave system are the two features that define what is here.
