A blufftop view over the Mississippi River marks the ground where the frontier town of Old Kaskaskia once stood. The 200 acre site commemorates that vanished settlement and the aid it gave George Rogers Clark during the American Revolution. No structures from the town remain, leaving the overlook and the land itself as the record of what happened here.
