About Holbrook Island Sanctuary State Park
1,345 acres of land and water make up this preserve on Penobscot Bay in the town of Brooksville, combining upland forest, meadows, wetland marshes, ponds, and rocky mainland shoreline. The property also includes the offshore Holbrook Island itself. It is maintained by the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry as a nature sanctuary with recreational features open to the public.
